Single purpose

Zetta Extractor finds email addresses on webpages and HTTP(S) PDF files the user chooses to browse or scan, then saves the results locally with source metadata for CSV export.

What the extension stores

The extension stores extracted email addresses, the source URL where each address was first found, the page title when available, and the first-seen timestamp. It also stores user settings such as AutoSave state and domain allow/blocklist rules.

Where data is stored

On the free extension, this data is stored locally in Chrome storage on your device. The extension does not send saved email records, source URLs, settings, browsing history, or extracted page content to Zetta or to third parties.

Keyword search workflow

If you enter a keyword and start the search workflow, the extension opens Google search results in a browser tab, scans result pages, and can visit collected result URLs at your request. Extracted emails from those pages are saved locally in the same way as manual and AutoSave captures.

PDF extraction

For HTTP(S) PDF files, the extension reads the PDF content locally in the browser extension process to look for email addresses. Local files, restricted browser pages, inaccessible pages, and blocked pages are skipped silently.

Network and sharing

The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, external JavaScript, or third-party data sharing. Optional Premium sync is not implemented in this build; if sync is added later, this policy will be updated before launch.

Permissions

The extension requests storage, tabs, scripting, downloads, activeTab, and host access so it can scan pages/PDFs the user chooses, save local results and settings, open/update tabs for keyword searches, inject local content scripts when needed, and export CSV files.

Remote code

The Chrome extension package does not load or execute remote code. All extension JavaScript is included in the submitted extension package.
